Self Processes and Development: The Minnesota Symposia on Child Psychology: Volume 23: Psychology Revivals

Editat de Megan R. Gunnar, L. Alan Sroufe
en Limba Engleză Hardback – mar 2027
Originally published in 1991, this volume contains chapters presented at the 23rd Minnesota Symposium on Child Psychology held in 1988. The theme of this volume is self processes and development. The psychological study of the self has a long history in the field of psychology. It is a study, however, which had been rediscovered in recent years as researchers attempted to grapple with views of the developing child as an active organism who plays an important role in the shaping of his or her own competencies and personality.
The goal of this volume was to assemble a group of scholars with diverse perspectives on the dynamic organizing processes of the self. Today it can be read in its historical context.
