Julien Perry is a well-known food writer and is respected by the public and the chefs alike. She carefully curated the participants in the book, choosing them for quality, variety and diversity.
  • GOOD MARKETING BUDGET: As we did with Portland Cooks in the fall of 2017, we will be hiring a great local publicist with expertise with the food industry. Figure 1 will make sure that Seattle Cooks gets lots of attention in all the key publications and tv shows in the city.
  • TRACK RECORD: the series has sold between 8,000 and 12,000 in most of the cities we have done, and Seattle should be no different. The books have been successful in all channels.
  • GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY AND DESIGN: We were able to get fantastic photography for the book and the design team has a super track record. The City Cooks series was awarded the Top Series award from Applied Arts in 2017.

    Notă biografică

    ulien Perry has been a food and lifestyle writer and editor for more than twenty years and has worked as a food editor for Seattle Weekly, Seattle Business Magazine, Eater Seattle, and Seattle Magazine. Her work has also been featured in Food & Wine and on the Food Network. An alumnus of Seattle Art Institute's Baking and Pastry program, she co-founded the One Night Only Project-a roving dinner series that partners with the city's food and beverage powerhouses-and Chefodex, a chef-for-hire service featuring a roster of Seattle's foremost culinary talent. She is the author of Seattle Cooks: Signature Recipes from the City's Best Chefs and Bartenders.
