Notă biografică

Dan C. Lortie (1926-2020) was a professor of education at the University of Chicago. His book Schoolteacher: A Sociological Study, was published in 1975 and esteemed as the best social portrait of the profession. His study of school leadership, School Principal: Managing in Public was published in 2009.
