Notă biografică

Leon Kleiner (1928-2025) was a retired commercial and residential real estate developer from New Jersey. Born in Tarnopol, Poland, just over a decade before the outbreak of WWII, he miraculously survived the Holocaust. After the war, he immigrated to the United States in 1947 and married Halina, also a Holocaust survivor, whom he had met in a displaced persons camp in Austria in 1945.Leon and his brother built a successful real estate business in New Jersey, where Leon lived with his family for many years. He and Halina were the proud parents of two daughters and five grandchildren, and later welcomed a great-grandson. Their son tragically died of cancer in his early twenties.Leon died in 2025.
