The First Readers, is a beginners reading series. First Readers - the author strife to make available true beginning readers books focusing on very young readers and children with learning challenges. The author has this to say: "I remember the frustration when searching store shelves for simple reading books for my one child (with several learning challenges) never finding just the simple words and not lots of distracting pictures.
