Far from the royal court, two country women are caught up in the religious turmoil of Tudor England. One is a blacksmith's wife with an autistic child, the other is married to the parish priest. Charges of witchcraft and heresy shatter their tranquil lives and, in the end, for love of her family, one must make the ultimate sacrifice.
