Tiki's herd is driven over a mountain range. The herd begins to starve, so Tiki go searching for food and a home. She is wounded, not knowing about all the loyalty issues that causes the rest of the herd to split apart. The young foals that stay loyal to Tiki and their leader anxiously await Tiki's return.
