Rufus, an eight month old puppy, with long floppy ears lives his mother, father, brother and sister, in the country. The farmer felt it was time to give away two of the puppies because he can't afford the food for them any longer. Rufus decides to run away to find a new home, hoping that his brother and sister would be able to live on the farm with his mother and father.
