Notă biografică

Amanda Claridge was Reader in Classical Archaeology, Royal Holloway, University of London, and was formerly Lecturer in Archaeology at St John's College, Oxford. Assistant Director of the British School in Rome from 1980 to 1994, she was the author of numerous publications on Roman archaeology. Her wider archaeological activities included fieldwork in Italy, North Africa, and Turkey, and the study of Roman marbles and sculptural techniques, on which she is a noted authority.Christopher Siwicki is a research fellow at the British school at Rome, where he is also director of the undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses on the history, archaeology, and topography of the ancient city. He has previously held research fellowships at the Norwegian Institute in Rome and the Warburg Institute, and lecturing positions at John Cabot University, the University of Exeter, and the University of Lincoln.
