Robert Mylne achieved fame in his twenties as a bridge builder, architect and engineer. Born in Edinburgh, educated in Rome, he won the St Luke's design competition before returning to London where he won the prize of designing Blackfriar's bridge. This book provides a biographical account of this multi-talented, eighteenth-century Scotsman.
