A candlemaker's life turns upside down when he learns that he is an heir to a throne. His Uncle, a dark sorcerer, has murdered his Father, the true King, and intends to eliminate him as well. He must travel into a world of magic that he has never known, to claim his kingdom. Making his way through a land he has never seen, his adventures teach him lessons of life and rulership. Humbled by his lack of fighting skills and knowledge of the harsh environment, he must find within himself the strength to become the King he needs to be. Pursued by trolls, orcs and ruffians, he learns who he is, and where he is from. Now, he must wage war and become King before his Uncle kills him.
