A rough, heroic mountain man's world collides with that of the outside world creating at first a strange then comfortable companionship which coalesces to overcome obstacle after obstacle, including feats of supreme courage, harrowing escapes, and exploits of amazing endurance in combating violent encounters with nature in its primeval form.
