Rethinking Midlife

Donna Hemmert Baumann, MAPP, knows what it feels like to hit midlife and wonder, What's next? After more than two decades in the early internet industry, including leadership roles at pioneers like Netscape, PSINet, and InterCon and the cofounding of startups, the career that once fueled her began to feel flat. Rather than ignore that feeling, she chose reinvention.

In her early fifties, she earned a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, studying the rigorous science of well-being at the very place it was born. That decision launched her next act: helping midlife women create theirs.

Over the past decade, Donna has taught, coached, and developed programs grounded in positive psychology--including the CARPE model, CARPE You for Midlife Women, and The Purpose Project--reaching an audience of more than 100,000 followers. She and her partners also developed Positive Conversations with Larry King, producing interviews with leading scholars and voices in the field of well-being.

She lives in Ojai, California, with her husband and family.
