Founded in 1806, Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, was a thriving community for much of the nineteenth century. A shrinking membership saw the decline of this village and the last Shaker to reside at Pleasant Hill died in 1923. this book explains how the village was saved and transformed into an renowned landmark of historic preservation.
