Based on an analysis of American state reporting statutes, this book provides a general statement about child abuse reporting requirements. In so doing, it highlights areas that need to be considered by school personnel when reporting suspected child abuse. Topics examined include: mandatory requirements to report child abuse and neglect; the required content of a child abuse report; school district responsibilities related to child abuse situations; and immunity provision for those reporting child abuse.
