A haunted chef. A broke college girl. One bad night that will change everything.
All Lucy Conrad wanted was a quiet break from school: applying for internships, finding a summer job, and enjoying the occasional ice cream. When her best friend drags her on a disastrous double date that somehow ends with her washing dishes in the back, she doesn't think her night can get much worse.
She's wrong.
A violent attack on her friend leaves Lucy spiraling.
Fueled by survivor's guilt, she seeks out the help of Dax Ferraro-the moody chef and ex-vigilante who humiliated her at his restaurant. They strike an unlikely deal that sends them down a twisted path of revenge.
They must work against the clock to expose the deadly predators before they claim Lucy as their next victim. Their dangerous alliance threatens to shatter the walls Dax has built around his past. He will stop at nothing to keep her safe, even if it means reviving the darkest parts of himself. Lucy must decide if vengeance is worth the price of virtue.
Renascence is coming.
