Notă biografică
Holly Melgard is the author of the poetry books Poems for Baby trilogy (Troll Thread, 2011), The Making of The Americans (Troll Thread, 2012), Black Friday (Troll Thread, 2012), Reimbursement (Troll Thread, 2013), Cats Can't Taste Sugar (Gaus PDF, 2014), as well as the chapbooks Catcall (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2017) and Divisions of Labor (MakeNow, 2020). Along with Joey Yearous-Algozin, she has also co-authored White Trash (Troll Thread, 2014) and Liquidation (Troll Thread, 2017). Her poetry books include Fetal Position (Roof, 2021) and Inner Critic: A Journal of Inner Criticism (Kenning Editions) which is forthcoming. She is one of the founding editors of Troll Thread press (alongside Yearous-Algozin, Chris Sylvester, and Divya Victor), which is a site that collectively publishes poetry books in the form of both print- on-demand and free pdf-downloads. She's performed her poems and soundworks at such sites as the Kelly Writers House, New York Museum of Modern Art, and the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. Her writing has appeared in l'Officiel Art, 6x6, and a Best American Experimental Poetry anthology. Her PhD dissertation that she recently completed at the SUNY Buffalo Poetics Program is titled Poetics of Ubiquitization: Textual Conditions of and for the Ubiquitous Computing Age. She is currently teaching writing at New York University and City University of New York, freelance book designing, co-editing Troll Thread press, and living in Brooklyn, NY.
