Recenzii
many of the works are significant texts from the library at Qumran. Hence, this volume bears considerable interest for all those interested in teh tantalizing world of the Dead Sea Scrolls. ... the volume is an impressive collaborative work. The vagaries of multiple authorship are admirably managed. ... For these things and for others a debt of gratitude is owed to the consulting editor, James VanderKam, and to his assistants Monica Brady and Tobin Rachford.
Although fragmentary, the importance of the documents contained within this volume cannot be exaggerated.
The high quality that one has come to expect from the DJD series under the editorial leadership of Emmanuel Tov continues to be fufilled...The texts are presented accurately, and the book is generally easy to use.
'...All the editors should be thanked for producing reliable editions of the texts. This DJD volume, published without delay, more than satisfactorily justifies the new policy of open access to the scrolls and the co-operation of an expanded team of scholars.'
Although a good number of the texts in this volume have already been published in preliminary form, the exemplary learning and care with which they are here presented continues to offer new challenges to the scholar of Second Temple Judaism.
