Rachel Kennelly is divorced, beautiful, and smart. It's easy to see why she's desired- but someone seems to desire more than she's willing to give...her life. He has experience tracking serial killers, perhaps even the same one, but he's not yet caught one and is plagued by self-doubt. His partner is on her way to becoming one of the victims. There is no shortage of suspects. He's developed feelings for Rachel that he fears will interfere with his ability to do his job. Rachel's ex-husband is a dirty cop who wants to kick Miller's ass and get Rachel back. And the killer is leaving absolutely no forensic evidence to work with. As the killer's rage and brutality escalate the task force fears that they are losing to a very bright psychopath and that the lovely Rachel will be next. Meanwhile Miller draws closer and closer to her and knows that losing her will kill him too.
