Nick Carter and Hope Maguire had much in common, but Hope was resistant to a relationship with the older, divorced man. Commonality, however, drove the pair together. Neither of them found peace at night. Something haunted their dreams and disrupted sleep. Nightmares were common but could not be recalled. Suffering similar symptoms, they shared a psychologist. The horrible truth came to light when Nick and Hope were regressed through hypnosis. Matters worsened when Nick's teenage daughter and her friend disappeared for an extended period of time.
