Presidential Hostage is a fictional account based on many of the author's experiences in aviation, camping, hunting, and shooting. The characters are an interesting collection of military professionals, competent government leaders and determined but ill-prepared terrorists. The primary protagonists are a likeable pair. They manage to stay three steps ahead of everyone simply by using their experiences and wits. Government officials are both competent and incompetent. Some operate exclusively in a black or white world while others see shades of grey. The terrorists are a mix of rag-tags idealists who follow orders without question and some are leaders who abuse their power that, in part, leads to their downfall.
