After retiring from biomedical research as Chairman of the Medical Schools Department of Comparative Medicine, he practiced small animal veterinary medicine for a number of years.He is now enjoying a happy retirement with his wife of almost fifty years, Betty. They spend their time between homes in Michigan and Florida in the United States of America.
