Post-Flesh Exhibits: Stuart A Woolgar

Autor Stuart Andrew Woolgar
en Limba Engleză Paperback – feb 2027

Post-Flesh Exhibits is a poetic journey through identity, civilisation, spectacle and the search for meaning in an increasingly mediated world.

Across eight interconnected movements, the collection traces the transformation of the individual from manufactured identity to urban alienation, social exhaustion, spectacle, ritual and spiritual inquiry before arriving, unexpectedly, at cultivation, discipline and renewal. Cities become museums of forgotten lives. Progress mutates into pathology. Beauty becomes commodity. Rebellion becomes performance. Religion survives only in fragments, while the possibility of genuine transformation remains hidden beneath the debris of modern civilisation.

Combining surreal imagery, symbolic narrative, philosophical reflection and sharp social observation, these poems inhabit the shifting ground between the personal and the collective, the grotesque and the lyrical, the historical and the contemporary. Industrial landscapes, forgotten institutions, mythic archetypes and moments of quiet intimacy are woven together into a poetic world where human beings are continually displayed, categorised, consumed and exhibited.

At its heart, Post-Flesh Exhibits asks what remains when identity itself becomes a performance. Rather than offering easy conclusions, the collection gradually turns away from spectacle and towards quieter acts of attention, ending not in apocalypse but in cultivation-of the body, the land and the self.

Both unsettling and restorative, Post-Flesh Exhibits offers a sustained meditation on perception, embodiment and the enduring possibility of living more authentically amid the noise of contemporary civilisation.

Notă biografică

Stuart A Woolgar is a British poet and essayist whose work explores identity, civilisation, symbolism, perception and the structures that shape modern human experience.Writing across poetry, philosophical prose and cultural criticism, his work combines surreal imagery, symbolic narrative and social observation to examine the relationship between language, power, memory and transformation. Rather than treating individual books as isolated projects, his publications form an interconnected literary archive in which recurring themes, images and ideas develop across multiple collections.Published by Sadolynn Press, his work moves between visionary poetry, satire, metaphysical inquiry and literary essays, creating symbolic landscapes that invite readers to reconsider contemporary life through imagination, myth and philosophical reflection.
