Possum Pals is a series of tales about woodsy "critter" pals who find themselves in various dilemmas sometimes with nearly disastrous results. The lessons from various Proverbs provide a moral to the story approach to reach a happy ending for the pals involved. In the first tale of the series, "Pals Be Yourself," Country Kitty and Sammy Swims face their struggles with envy and curiosity about being someone other than who God made them to be. They learn through trials that it is a blessing to "Be Yourself" and not to envy others who have their own special attributes.
