Pooka Dooka Panda Bear

Pooka Dooka Panda Bear is a heartwarming book about the special comfort of a beloved stuffed animal and the courage children discover as they begin to grow more independent.

Pooka Dooka is more than just a stuffed panda. He is a constant companion, a source of comfort, and the familiar friend who makes the world feel a little less scary.

But what happens when Pooka Dooka isn't there?

Being without a favorite comfort object can feel like a very big deal when you're little. But sometimes, those moments give children the opportunity to discover just how capable and courageous they can be on their own.

Pooka Dooka Panda Bear is a sweet and reassuring story about growing up, gaining confidence, and taking those first brave steps toward independence. It honors the very real attachment children can have to a favorite stuffed animal, blanket, or other comfort object while gently exploring the idea that becoming more independent doesn't mean leaving behind the things we love.

Written for young children, this beautifully illustrated story gives parents, caregivers, and teachers an opportunity to talk about comfort, separation, independence, confidence, courage, and the feelings that come with growing up.

Perfect for bedtime reading, preschool and early elementary classrooms, or any child who has ever had something special they couldn't imagine being without.

Sometimes the things that make us feel brave are simply helping us discover the courage that was already there.
