Autor Antonella Montano, Valentina Iadelucaen Limba Engleză Paperback – 29 sep 2025
The book starts with a section providing some background on polyvagal theory as well as the qualities, skills, and knowledge necessary to facilitate the program described in the book. This first part concludes with a detailed overview of the program, outlining its structure, target audience, working methodology, and logistical aspects. The book then moves into the 10-week program, a structured curriculum of self-discovery and experiential learning for groups. Going session by session, activity by activity, the manual presents specific hands-on scripts to help convey the theory to the course participants in a simple and engaging way, along with homework assignments and guided immersions into mindfulness.
Polyvagal Theory in Group Practice is structured in an effective and easy-to-teach curriculum that makes its conduction accessible not only to psychologists and psychotherapists but also to other helping professionals including teachers, doctors, nurses, and community workers.

Recenzii
‘If there is another book that does a better job of demonstrating how the polyvagal theory is applied to group treatment interventions with teenagers and adults, I am unaware of its existence. This essential and thought-provoking work provides the reader with all of the strategies needed to apply the polyvagal approach to life. It is chock full of experiential exercises that are empirically based and executed with clinical perspicacity. The co-authors Montano and Iadeluca are to be commended for producing a novel work, which will be an asset to anyone who embraces it. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in utilizing this approach.’
