The third edition of Policing: Concepts, Strategies, and Current Issues in American Police Forces has been updated and revised to address the changes in policing that have occurred in the first decade of the twenty-first century. Issues such as homeland security, terrorism, and the expanded role of community policing have been addressed. However, important components in the first edition have been maintained.
