Despite the severe conditions, an amazing diversity of wildlife thrives in the Arctic and Southern Oceans and depends on these bodies of water for survival. Children will learn about: similarities and differences between Arctic and Antarctic waters; how polar ocean creatures have adapted; polar ocean food chains and food webs; permanent ice and ice formations; interconnections among polar oceans and other seas and oceans; global consequences of environmental changes.
