Recenzii
“The greatest strength of this book lies in its historical significance. This is, to my knowledge, the first anthology of poetry written by the Vietnamese so-called enemy to be published in English translation. The poems are clear, direct, concrete, honest, and moving. They offer fresh insight into the emotional life of the Vietnamese soldier previously unavailable in translation. The readership for books on the war in Vietnam has been vast, but rarely has that readership been offered this point of view.”—Martín Espada, author of Rebellion Is the Circle of a Lover’s Hands
“I highly recommend these translations. Done with grace and skill, they will be useful in courses on war.”—Yusef Komunyakaa, author of Dien Cai Dau
