Recenzii
“An absorbing story. . . . It provides in brief compass a ‘vivid movie’ of the city’s past with due regard for the relative importance of people, events, and the growths of neighborhoods; it throws light on the folkways, and customs, the prejudices, virtues, shortcomings and triumphs of the past, and goes a long way toward explaining the city and the citizens of the present day. And that story is important--for the doings of Pittsburgh and Pittsburghers have profoundly affected the whole modern world”--Hervey Allen
