Pine Street Peddler is the story of Vera Brown, a spirited young woman who wants to unionize and advocate for workers' rights in the small town of Livingston. Opposing a $500 billion corporation, however, is easier said than it is accomplished. And Vera discovers that it is dangerous as well - Valumart aka Pine Street Peddler is not above mounting massive misinformation campaigns, intimidation, threats and firings to protect its wealth.
