In this age of pain, suffering, and fear, God often feels very far away. Finding answers to our human afflictions requires more than simply opening the Bible: we must dig deeper. Deborah Williams suggests that to truly know why brokenness exists in our world, we must first address its history. Only then can we see that God does not want us to stay uncomforted, but instead wants to help. Williams shows that the answer is in Jesus Christ who redeems, heals, and restores us to a place of wholeness.
