My name is Sonny Green. I'm from Southend-on-Sea, Essex. I'm working-class and I write about the life I see around me. I didn't come from a literary background, and I never set out to be a poet.
I just started putting things into words because it helped me make sense of them.
These poems are about everyday life. Family, growing up, money worries, faith, fatherhood, and the places that shape us. They're influenced by council estates, school years, boot sales, seaside streets, and long conversations over a cup of tea.
