She came home to sell her grandmother's cottage. She never expected to find a reason to stay-or a man who might make staying feel like home.
After a painful divorce and the loss of the career she once loved, Chantal Davies has one simple plan: restore her grandmother's seaside cottage, sell it, and return to Vancouver to start over.
Then she meets her next-door neighbour, Anderson Cole.
A single father carrying burdens of his own, Anderson has no room in his carefully ordered life for complications. But as Chantal settles into Sunshine Bay, friendship between them comes easily-and becomes harder to ignore.
There's a shy rescue cat to care for, a grieving twelve-year-old girl who needs someone to believe in her, an unfinished tapestry waiting to be completed, and a struggling fibre arts cooperative that draws Chantal deeper into the community her grandmother loved.
With every passing day, the life Chantal planned seems less important-and the life she never imagined begins to feel possible.
But before she can choose a new future, Chantal must decide whether she's brave enough to open her heart again.
Paws for Healing is a heartwarming later-in-life romance about second chances, chosen family, community, and discovering that sometimes home is where you least expect to find it.
