Parting Ways
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 4 mai 2027
Parting Ways is a guide to the spiritual work of leaving a job, role, or calling with integrity: how to honor what mattered, how to release what no longer belongs to you, and how to embrace what comes next with joy and purpose.
We learn how to begin. We learn how to stay. Leaving, we often have to figure out on our own.
Most books about endings focus on grief, or on resilience, or on starting over. This one starts earlier—with the leaving itself. Parting Ways offers a field guide to moving through the departure with honesty, care for the work, and self-care for the mixed emotions of saying goodbye and letting go of responsibility.
The wisdom of Parting Ways reaches beyond any single vocation or setting. Whether you are leaving a job or volunteer position, public service, community organizing, or another place of deep commitment, this book attends to the human and spiritual realities of transition: discernment, grief, relief, identity, power, boundary-setting, repair, and release. This book meets you there with stories, blessings, and practical tools like reflection questions, simple rituals of ending, and discernment practices for individuals, leaders, and communities.
As a spiritual director and religious educator, author Tandi Rogers has spent decades accompanying congregations and religious leaders through endings of every kind. She knows the difference between a leaving that liberates and one that wounds. She knows what gets carried forward when a goodbye is tended, and what follows us when it isn't. Because endings are not the opposite of belonging. They are proof of it.

Notă biografică
Tandi Rogersdid not set out to become an expert on endings. She became one the usual way: by living through enough of them to start taking notes. For twenty years, she served Unitarian Universalist congregations and the denomination in various roles, specializing in faith development, innovation, congregational growth, and conflict engagement. A religious educator and founder of the spiritual direction program at Meadville Lombard's LIGHT Institute, she believes everything we do can be faith formation, including the act of leaving.
