A filmmaker with a puzzling past fulfills his fantasy of shooting his own TV series in 1987 Tallahassee. The direct to video show "Panhandle Heat" is horrible, yet those involved refuse to see it that way. As the main character's world begins to crumble, he and his crew stay convinced they are changing television forever and in the process, might have done just that.
