Fleeing a genetic research facility, Avarie must find her way around a desolated world. Along the way she meets a man who holds the key to her future and another to her past. Given a choice to fight or flee, Avarie must choose between herself and humanity. Before she can choose, she must find the answers to what happened to the world as we know it. Armed with unnatural gifts, she opens doorways to the past and to the future. Upon her exploration into different worlds, Avarie learns what it is to be human, but in the end, she needs to learn how to awaken.
