When Graham starts noticing something's not right with his favourite games from the eighties - glitches that shouldn't be there, memories that don't quite match the machine - he can't shake the feeling that something in the retro world is dying of neglect.
He's not alone in noticing. Soon a scattered, unlikely crew of fellow obsessives - from his own backyard shed to a stranger's archive halfway across the world - are all chasing the same mystery: why are the games failing, and what does it actually take to bring them back?
