Omerta means "code of silence" in Mafia-speak. In this short story, Gloria Spencer had been warned about Sicily-mobs of sinister men with murderous minds. Still, when she crosses the Strait of Messina with her friend Kathy, Gloria never dreamed she'd get an offer she can't refuse.
