The poems cover a wide range of subjects observing and reflecting on the human enterprise, nature, science, love, behavior, history, belief, culture, etc., most using rhyme and meter, little of narrative poetry. Each poem is followed by an aphorism which may amplify the message of the poem or counterpoint it.
