"Timothy McQuay has written a very fine first thriller, which readers will find enjoyable and realistic. He manages to capture the essence and challenges of the ongoing, tragic, and brutal war against terror." - Kenneth Dekleva in The Cipher Brief, an online site for national security professionals TERRORISTS ON THE MOVE
HEROES ON THE JOB
>In a brutal Syrian detention camp, two ISIS prisoners plot their revenge against America. As the threat becomes clear, CIA officer Tom Rivers and Raz Jackson, CEO of a French intelligence firm, must race against time and across borders to stop a deadly ISIS terror plot from reaching America's shores. But can Tom and Raz, and their budding romance, survive the terrorists' personal vendettas and the government's secret agendas ... and prevent the deadly attack? The danger becomes all too real as a heist of passports in Paris sets off a chain of events that leads to a deadly game of hunters vs. hunted. From the high-desert of Syria to the warzone of Ukraine, eventually to the United States, Tom and Raz must navigate through a hall of mirrors that makes them wonder if their CIA allies are friend or foe. As the body count rises and time runs out, the question becomes: what personal grievances are driving these mysterious terrorists to pursue mass murder? And what secrets are being kept by the CIA operations director? In this heart-pounding international thriller based on real events originating from the war against the Islamic State and Al Qaeda, the message is clear: Terror never sleeps, and the good guys don't always win. For fans of action-packed suspense and political thrillers, this book is a must-read. Similar to The Bourne Identity and Homeland, this novel will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
