I feel like I'm strapped to a firework, waitin for the bang.
From award-winning author Matt Goodfellow comes a story about a boy stuck at a crossroads, looking to light his way ahead, illustrated by Joe Todd-Stanton.
Kane feels lost. The Youth Centre in town has closed, his parents are distracted with caring for his disabled younger sister, and it feels like there's no place he belongs any more. His two friends - naïve, sweet Alex and angry, unpredictable Rico - are pulling him in two very different directions.

And then there comes the explosion ... one night, one moment that changes everything.
Kane may think his future is already decided. But there is another way forward, if he can find it, a way burning bright with hope...
