Author Biographies

Wendy Bawabe

Wendy Bawabe, a 30-year Norwell resident, is the president of The Norwell Historical Society. With experience in graphic design, she transformed the Society's newsletter, North River Packet, into a lively collection of research articles that serve as the basis for this book. A tireless advocate for preserving local history, Wendy is a frequent public speaker, oversees the Jacobs Farmhouse Museum, and was a former member of the Norwell Historical Commission. She received a bachelor's degree in Rhetoric from Bates College. Wendy also serves as vice president and board member of the Norwell Public Library Foundation.

Betsy Baldwin Brink

A Norwell native, Betsy is a marketing communications professional and recently wrapped up a 28-year stint at Harvard Business School. Her first love is writing, and she has had several essays published in Faith At Work magazine. Betsy holds a Master of Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in English and American Literature from Harvard University.

Dan Neumann

Dan Neumann, a New York native, was drawn to Norwell more than two decades ago by its historic charm. A graduate of Boston College with bachelor's degrees in Economics and English, he pursued a long career in investment management in both New York City and Boston. His research-driven approach and passion for history eventually led him to the Norwell Historical Society, where he serves on the board and frequently contributes research articles. Dan also serves as treasurer and board member of the Norwell Public Library Foundation.
