When Charlie comes home from school in a bad mood, her mom doesn't know what to think. What could've happened today? By letting her open up on her own terms, she finally discovers the truth--Charlie didn't receive an invitation from her friend, even when others did. But as they try to puzzle through the situation together, they realize that Charlie might've made some assumptions about the invitation and started worrying for no reason. With her mom's help, Charlie makes a plan to talk to her friend and get to the bottom of things. Perfect for children navigating new experiences and emotions, No Time to Guess introduces approachable cognitive behavioral skills to help children work through overwhelming feelings. Along with Charlie and her mom, parents and little ones alike will learn how to escape negative thought traps and use practical strategies toovercome emotional challenges.
