In 1963, Mary Brandt set out to do a year of volunteer service at a children's home in Germany, but she never left. Mary was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, an incurable condition that leads to blindness. Mary would ultimately become a lifelong witness of God's love as a blind woman reaching out to the less privileged around her in Germany.
