Jordan Parshall is an artist, romantic comedy aficionado, and die-hard Cardinals fan from Columbia, Missouri. She once accidentally said "I love you" to a boy she was friends with in grade school when they were getting off the phone. After that, many years passed before she said those three words to a non-family member again.

For several years, Jordan responded to others' pronouncements of love with quips like "the feeling is mutual," but this was not well received. It wasn't until Jordan began creating and sending hand-drawn, love-themed cards to her friends and family that she was able to communicate her affection. Ever since, puns and single-panel comics have come to be her favorite way of spreading love.
