Sue Austin, born in Tampa, Florida, April 17, 1953, resided there until 1982, when she purchased ten wooded acres in Tallahassee, Florida. Employed by the Florida Department of Labor as a computer programmer until 1991, at which time she took a sabbatical to raise her two sons, Oliver IV (Buddy) and Trevor. Sue returned to the work force in 1998, when hired by Level 3 Communications as a computer consultant. In 2000, she began an online book business, the following year opening a storefront in Wakulla County, Florida. In 2004, Sue returned to school receiving a Ph.D. in Religion in 2008. Deciding in 2011, after the death of a close friend, life is too short to waste, she began traveling. Sue designed websites until retiring in 2012, to travel full-time.
