Penny started writing poems as a result of a poetry course and enjoyed getting to grips with unfamiliar forms of poetry with incomprehensible names. She became hooked and soon writing a poem became the best way to capture whatever came along in life - from everyday incidents and observations to the big things of life like coping with pain or welcoming new grandchildren.
