Notă biografică
Dr. Virat Khanna is working as an Associate Dean, Research and Development, Chandigarh University, Punjab, India. He is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 15 years of experience in higher education and scientific research. He has authored more than 80 publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals indexed in SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science. His research contributions span nanotechnology, materials science, and sustainable development. Dr. Khanna has served as an editor for multiple books and conference proceedings with leading international publishers, including Springer, CRC Press, IGI Global, and Bentham Science. He is actively involved in scholarly publishing and currently serves on the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports (Nature Group) and Discover Nano (Springer). Additionally, he holds the position of Academic Editor for the Journal of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Science and Engineering, both published by Wiley. As a recognised leader in his field, Dr. Khanna is the Book Series Editor for Recent Advances in Materials for Nanotechnology, published by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis).
Dr. Chingakham Chinglenthoiba is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Galgotias University, Noida. He has a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India, in 2020. He completed his Postdoctoral studies in material chemistry at the National University of Singapore in 2023. During his postdoctoral program, he focused on understanding microplastics and their various mitigation approaches using various advanced materials like metal-organic framework, functionalized cellulose, electrospun membrane, and activated carbons. With over 30 publications in SCI-indexed Q1 and Q2 journals, including Nanomaterials (MDPI), Environmental Science and Pollution Research (Springer), and the Journal of Environmental Management (Elsevier), his research output is both prolific and impactful. He has also served as guest editor for special issues on microplastics and has organised international events, notably the RaSP-SEA Workshop at NUS. Beyond academia, Dr Chingakham is deeply committed to outreach, delivering invited talks, keynotes, and public engagements to raise awareness and drive sustainable solutions to the global microplastic crisis.
Dr Sabiqah T. Anuar is an associate professor at the Faculty of Science and Marine Environment, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and she has 16 years of teaching experience in environmental and analytical chemistry. She has a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, 2013. She is actively participating in understanding the microplastic issue, mainly focusing on the ASEAN region. She is an active member of various diasporas, such as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, a member of the Malaysian Analytical Sciences Society, a member of AOAC International and the Microplastic Research interest group, UTM, Malaysia. She has published and presented more than 45 papers in SCI ( Q1 and Q2) at many national and international conferences. She has achieved 18 research grants and 8 consultant projects in the last 5 years.
