A searching debut collection about what remains of us when identity falls away, moving through memory, exile and landscape in search of something enduring.

Myself All Along reverberates with a profound sense of longing, capturing the essence of something lost and forgotten. In this debut collection, Daniel Pukkila presents a quasi-religious inquiry into the self beyond identity, asking what endures when the boundaries of selfhood are stripped away.

Echoing the thematic breadth of Yehuda Amichai and Ursula K. Le Guin, these poems chart a passage across landscape and memory. Pukkila moves from ancient roots and historical exile to the mundane sacredness of quiet tram stops and northern winter skies. Along the way, the work confronts the weight of inheritance, the fleeting nature of human existence, and the sacred stillness beneath all the noise.
